This online course is designed to provide attendees with a basic knowledge and requirements to complete risk assessments of laboratory activities.

At the end of the course participants will be able to

1. Describe the basic principles of risk assessment
2. Identify and assess significant risks from tasks completed
3. Describe techniques of risk assessment and who to involve in the process
4. Identify the appropriate control measures to reduce risk in the laboratory  
5. Describe the hierarchy of control in relation to reducing the risk from the tasks
6. Identify how risk assessment findings can be communicated
