Dear participant,
You have booked the 2022 EBSA preconference-course A - Introduction to audits and inspections - on the 17th and 18th of May 2022 in Ghent, Belgium.
In order to make more efficient use of the limited time provided, we would like to ask you to prepare a little bit in advance.
In the course we intend to form small groups of participants that will try to practice some of the interview techniques that will be presented.
As subject for such an exercise we would prefer to have some realistic cases of accidents or incidents.
We would therefore like to ask each participant to prepare in advance a case that he/she has knowledge of. It can be anything, ranging from: a facility that has burned down to a fall down the stairs (at home or on the job).
You may also select a “near miss” or “near incident/accident” (i.e. an unplanned event that had the potential, but did not actually result in causing harm).
After a short oral presentation of each case (in a few lines), the group will select a case to proceed with. So if your case is selected, it is important that you have some more detailed in depth knowledge of the case in order to be able to provide answers on questions from the interviewer(s).
One more thing: If possible could you take your laptop with you to the course as all material will only be digitally available.
