Membership

The European Biosafety Association (hereinafter referred to as EBSA) offers all European biosafety professionals an opportunity to participate in its activities and bring their voice and vision to this rapidly growing association. The EBSA membership is open to all who are employed by public health organisations, clinical/pharmaceutical/medical industry, laboratories, university and research institutions, or other organisations that have an active interest in biological safety.

Application

The application for membership must be done online. It becomes legally binding on receipt and written confirmation by EBSA. Once the application has been processed, you will receive an invoice for your documents.

The membership is valid for the current calendar year (January 1 - December 31) and will expire automatically. It is renewable on January 1st of each following year.

Each member will receive an individual login for the "members section" and can decide what part of their contact / occupational information should be made accessible to other EBSA members. The published contact details may not be used for any commercial purpose. Indirect promotion of courses, training jobs should be done through other channels.

The membership becomes valid after receipt of membership fees.

Cancellation

Cancellation of membership is possible at any time but no refund of membership fees will be payed.

 

EBSA Conferences and Courses

EBSA provides services appropriate to the nature and scope of the description of an event. In exceptional cases EBSA reserves the right to change speakers, the venue of an event or the programme schedule.

Registration

The conference and course registration must be done online. It becomes legally binding on receipt and written confirmation by EBSA. Once the registration has been processed, you will receive an official confirmation letter and invoice for your documents.

Registration fees for conferences, courses and symposia must be paid before the start of the event. Please note: in the last 3 weeks before the conference we will only accept credit card payments for your online registration.

Registration deadline

Registration is possible, subject to capacity, up to the beginning of an event. The deadline for inclusion in the list of participants is 3 weeks before the event begins.

Cancellation of individual participation

Only written cancellations will be accepted (letter, fax or email). 30 € administrative costs will be charged for any cancellation of registration received 4 weeks before the conference begins. Thereafter 100% of the conference/course fees will be charged. The effective date for cancellation is the date of receipt.

In case of non-attendance or drop-outs, the full conference fee is payable.

If the event is cancelled by EBSA, the whole fees will be refunded. Further claims for compensation are excluded.

Cancellation of exhibitor participation

Only written cancellations will be accepted (letter, fax or email). 20% administrative costs will be charged for cancellations of registrations received 4 weeks before the conference begins. Thereafter, 100% of the exhibition fee will be invoiced. The effective date for cancellation is the date of receipt.

If the event is cancelled by EBSA, the whole fees will be refunded. Further claims for compensation are excluded.

Substitute participant

We will be pleased to accept a substitute nominated by you. The nomination of a substitute must be made in writing and is free of charge. Any difference in the fees will be invoiced or credited respectively.

Conference documents

Conference documents are distributed to each participant at the conference venue.
EBSA is the sole owner of the rights to conference documents. Any further use is subject to the written agreement of EBSA.

 

Disclaimer for Photos

During the conference and the workshops EBSA may be taking photo-graphs or recording sound or video that could include recognizable im-ages or voices of those in attendance. These recordings may be posted within the member's only section of the website If you do not wish us to use any recording of you, please notify a member of the conference administration staff or an EBSA Council member. All recordings are treated sensitively and discreetly. Names will not be published.

 

 

BBP Symposium

Registration

The symposium registration must be done online. It becomes legally binding on receipt and written confirmation by BBP. Once the registration has been processed, you will receive an official confirmation letter and invoice for your documents.

Registration fees for symposia must be paid before the start of the event.

Registration deadline

Registration is possible, subject to capacity, until 1 week before the symposium starts.

Cancellation of individual participation

Your registration fee can be reimbursed if we receive your cancellation 1 week before the symposium starts. Later cancellations will not be reimbursed.

 

Payment

Payment should be done by credit card (VISA, Master Card or American Express) or bank transfer after receipt of an invoice. Cheques are not accepted.
