Conference Program Working Group

Positions on this WG are open to all members but in general it is useful if you are available by email to assist in the business of the Group. The WG itself is quite small, 5-8 people. However, each Working Group has a Consultation Group of interested parties with whom they will liaise while conducting their work. Any member may be part of a consultation group. Starting with the conference in the Netherlands in 2006 and continuing with the conference in Germany in 2007 and in Italy in 2008, we have local advisors to the WG.

The role of the Conference Programme Working Group is to:

• Plan the scientific program of the annual conference
• Organize pre-conference workshops
  
• Respond to consultative documents when requested by Council
• Review articles
• Set up liaisons with other organisations and enforcing bodies in relation to scientific affairs

The first full meeting of the WG took place in January 2001
The group now meets 3 to 4 times per year.
