Estoril/Portugal

Seminar on biosecurity and European bio-preparedness

The European Commission organized a two day seminar on biosecurity and European bio-preparedness on 24 - 25 July, 2006. EBSA’s point of view is that biosecurity is a part of biosafety, and that a good biosafety program addresses most of the biosecurity issues. EBSA’s presentation stressed the need to have programs based on management systems and biosafety professionals that have the support from management, have well defined tasks and appropriate skills.
