General BBP Meeting
The General BBP Meeting is composed of all members of the BBP and is chaired by the Chairperson of the Steering Team. General BBP Meetings are planned every quarter (except in the quarter when the EBSA annual conference is to be held). Each meeting includes:
- presentation on a selected biosafety topic
- report from the Steering Team
- reports from Task Forces
- discussions
- organisational matters (e.g. the annual elections, planning of next meetings)
BBP Steering Team
Each year the BBP elects amongst its members 5 people to form the Steering Team.
The BBP Steering Team will ensure the practical management of the BBP. It will amongst other activities:
- prepare and supervise the organization of meetings and other activities
- interact with EBSA
- be responsible for BBP finances
- implement the strategic directions that are agreed with the members.
- determine the topics to be handled by the respective Task Forces and appoints the TF leader.
BBP Task Forces
The Steering Team has established a number of Task Forces to handle particular topics
