EBSA Projects Participation

Biosafety Professional Competency (BSP) - CEN Workshop N 53 startet at 17/18 Dec, 2009. 

The objective is to define skills and tasks for the BSP and to develop a training curriculum. The CEN WS aims to result in a CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA), a document based on consensus among participants and close to a standard. The CEN Workshop is open by registration to all interested parties. A `kick-off´ meeting has take place in Frankfurt December 17, 2009. It was followed by the 1st plenary meeting on December 18, also in Frankfurt. A draft ´standard´ document prepared by the EBSA BSP Competency Task Group was circulated to the registered participants. Make your opinion known! You can influence your own working conditions, the future status and working conditions of the BSP and the future of biosafety and biosecurity in Europe. Register and participate by contacting the Workshop Secretariat . Discussion during the plenary meetings help crystallize the ideas, but all comments to the document are submitted following the meeting for consideration. Therefore even if you cannot attend the plenary meetings you can submit your comments.

    CBRN Taskforce Bio Sub-groups

    As a result of the responses to the Green Paper the European Commission CBRN Taskforce Bio Sub-groups responded with several drafts of recommendations, which were discussed with member states experts as well as experts from the private sector and other stakeholders.
