MOBILE LABORATORY EXHIBITION

On Tuesday, 16th June 2009 the Swedish Armed Forces will be presenting a mobile laboratory developed for analyzing biological agents during national and international operations: Deployable Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Nuclear Analytical Laboratory (CBRN-AL). CBRN-AL comprises three separate laboratories for 1) chemical, 2) biological and 3) radiological/nuclear analysis. At the EBSA conference, the deployable B-laboratory, used for analyzing samples suspected to contain elevated levels of bacteria, viruses and toxins will be displayed.
The B-laboratory includes a class III microbiological safety cabinet equipped for sample preparation and immunological and molecular biological analysis, a VHP generator for decontamination and an autoclave. The supply and exhaust air can be filtered for CBRN substances.
The exhibition is held within the premises of the Karolinska Institutet Campus in connection to the conference and is an opportunity for all participants to visit the mobile laboratory during one day.
