Working Groups

Part of the activity of EBSA takes place through the activities of the Working Groups. If you are interested in joining one of the Working or Task Groups, please contact the chairman of this Group.

Information and Communication Working Group

Purpose:
  • Accumulate legal, scientific and practical knowledge on biological safety from the European Countries.
  • Make this information available and distribute it.
  • Formulate and communicate the point of view of the association regarding current biosafety and biosecurity issues

Conference Programme Working Group

The purpose of the Conference Programme Working Group (CPWG) is to make recommendations to Council on:

  • annual conference program
  • organization of pre-conference workshops

Education and Training Working Group

The remit is to:
  • Identify and develop a plan for aligning workshops with biosafety competence
  • Identify and outline opportunities for education and development
Drivers are:
  • Improve knowledge and understanding of biosafety and biosecurity
  • Enable professional development

Transport Task Group

The Transport Task Group (TTG) will be formed on an ad-hoc basis to make recommendations to Council on: 

  • changes in regulations in the transport of infectious substances, clinical specimens GMO's
  • provide information and education on transport changes to the biosafety community
